Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and strategic Human Resources Business Partner to act as the main HR liaison between the Business Unit and central HR functions in Costa Rica. This senior position will shape employee experience, support leadership, and drive organizational effectiveness across our hybrid workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR interface between the Business Unit and central HR, translating business goals into people strategies.
• Manage complex employee‑relations issues, provide coaching to managers, and resolve disputes confidentially.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle – onboarding, performance management, development planning, and off‑boarding – with a focus on engagement and retention.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret HR metrics (turnover, engagement, headcount) to produce actionable reports for leadership.
• Partner with global HR teams (Compensation & Benefits, L&D, Talent Acquisition) to ensure consistent communication and alignment.
• Lead HR transformation initiatives such as performance‑review redesign, recognition programs, and digital/AI adoption.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience as an HR Business Partner or equivalent, advising senior leaders.
• Strong knowledge of Costa Rican labor regulations, employment contracts, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, able to support global management and C‑level executives.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive employee‑relations matters and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience using HR metrics to influence decision‑making and reporting.
• Track record of collaborating with global HR functions and delivering stakeholder‑focused initiatives.
