Global Payroll Accountant

About the role

As a Global Payroll Accountant you will ensure accurate and timely payroll accounting across the organization, supporting Pfizer’s mission to deliver medicines to patients worldwide. You will work closely with finance, audit, and operational teams to maintain compliance and deliver high‑quality financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process payroll accounting activities with complete accuracy.
• Review payroll process integrity and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Develop complex analyses for external accountants and corporate audits.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures and Sarbanes‑Oxley internal control documentation.
• Maintain domestic and international general ledgers, journal entries, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support month‑end close activities and meet strict deadlines.
• Participate in global transformational projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong background in payroll accounting and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal control requirements.
• Ability to prepare balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other accounting schedules.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate across global teams.
