Full Stack Data Engineer

About the role

PetSmart is expanding its technology footprint and seeks a Full Stack Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain advanced data pipelines and analytics platforms. The role is based in the Costa Rica office and offers a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Spark for both real‑time and batch processing.
• Implement and manage Snowflake data storage solutions, optimizing performance, scalability, and security.
• Use DBT for data transformation and modeling to support analytical and operational workloads.
• Create dynamic dashboards and reports with MicroStrategy, Tableau, and ThoughtSpot for business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the marketing technology team to enhance data‑driven marketing and personalization initiatives.
• Ensure data governance, quality standards, and compliance across all data processes.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and advocate for innovative solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data engineering or similar roles.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.
