FP&A Project Analyst

About the role

The FP&A Project Analyst supports financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and analysis across a multi‑project IT portfolio. You will provide consolidated visibility into financial performance, project costs, and budget utilization, enabling leadership to make informed business and investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for a portfolio of IT projects and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain financial forecasts, including periodic re‑estimations and Last Best Estimate (LBE) updates.
• Analyze actuals versus budget and forecast, identifying variances and their drivers.
• Monitor project financial performance, including run rates, labor costs, cost allocations, and chargebacks.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad‑hoc financial reports and management presentations.
• Consolidate financial information from multiple projects and business units into leadership‑ready reporting.
• Develop and maintain financial models, trackers, dashboards, and reporting tools.
• Support annual budgeting cycles, data collection, forecast updates and variance analysis.
• Partner with Finance, IT, Project Managers and external vendors to validate assumptions and ensure data accuracy.
• Track CapEx and OpEx, applying capitalization and amortization principles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Project Management or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, controlling or a related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Proven ability to analyze actuals versus budget, identify trends and drivers.
• Experience developing financial models, forecasts and management reports.
