Equipment Engineer – P2

About the role

The Equipment Engineer (P2) will apply engineering expertise to improve product quality, customer service and cost efficiency by optimizing existing manufacturing equipment and leading new equipment development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical knowledge to innovate, develop and support processes, tooling and automation in manufacturing.
• Create and manage technical documentation such as specifications, validations, prototypes, manuals, 3D models, schematics and BOMs.
• Lead problem‑solving teams using BSC Engineering Essentials tools.
• Apply project‑management tools to ensure equipment projects meet performance, schedule and cost targets.
• Manage multiple complex projects and assess their impact on product cost.
• Communicate regularly with project sponsors, clients and stakeholders.
• Support equipment relocation, installation, start‑up, qualification, training and sustainment across the manufacturing network.
• Oversee equipment maintenance indicators (downtime, root‑cause analysis, spare‑part consumption, 5S audit scores) and ensure preventive‑maintenance audits and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise technicians, enforce PPE/LOTO procedures, coordinate maintenance during shutdowns and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Engineering background with experience in equipment development and manufacturing processes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams and supervising technical staff.
• Strong understanding of equipment maintenance metrics and regulatory requirements.
