DevOps Automation Specialist (Infrastructure as Code)

About the role

An experienced IT Automation Specialist is sought to lead infrastructure automation initiatives across an enterprise environment. As a subject matter expert, you will design, implement and maintain scalable automation solutions using Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible, AWX/Tower and advanced DevOps platforms, combining hands-on expertise with strategic thinking to drive infrastructure modernization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions with Terraform and OpenTofu for cloud and on-premises infrastructure
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for configuration management, application deployment and system patching
• Architect and optimize Ansible Tower/AWX for enterprise-scale automation, including RBAC, credential management and workflow orchestration
• Lead adoption of agentic AI capabilities to automate decision-making and reduce manual operational overhead
• Establish automation standards and frameworks, review code and document architecture, runbooks and procedures
• Troubleshoot complex automation issues, integrate solutions with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and ticketing platforms, and evaluate new tools
• Collaborate with Cloud, Infrastructure and Security teams to embed automation across IT operations

Required profile

• 5+ years of IT infrastructure and systems administration experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent professional experience
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Required skills

• Expert-level Terraform/OpenTofu and advanced Ansible, including production Ansible Tower or AWX
• Strong Python, Git and CI/CD knowledge; public cloud (Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure
• Preferred: agentic AI implementation, GitOps (ArgoCD, Flux), CMDB and ServiceNow, and HashiCorp or cloud certifications
