Customer Onboarding Specialist

About the role

Service First is seeking a Customer Onboarding Specialist to guide new clients through the implementation of our products and services. You will educate customers, resolve technical issues, and ensure a smooth adoption experience while reviewing conforming loan applications.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Customer Specialist guidelines and checklists for fraud, duplicate, and background verification.
• Conduct fraud assessments using loan application data and company resources.
• Perform duplicate checks across verticals and loan systems.
• Gather employment and military background information to assess risk.
• Analyze applicants' financial strength using online banking tools and decision logic.
• Review call recordings (VOB and VOE) to confirm annotations and flag major offenses.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of conventional conforming and HARP loan origination guidelines.
• Report findings to the team lead or underwriting supervisor in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Adherence to scheduled work hours and punctuality.
• Direct reporting to an assigned Team Lead or supervisor.
• Efficient task completion and timely hand‑over of end‑of‑shift duties.
• Compliance with internal policies, department rules, and the company code of conduct.

Required skills

• Proficiency with loan origination systems.
• Experience using FileZilla for file transfers.
• Familiarity with online banking platforms and decision‑logic tools.
