Contador (Accountant)

About the role

Join a dynamic and warm culture at Grupo Unicomer as an Accountant. You will be responsible for controlling and recording accounting movements in line with the organization’s policies and International Accounting Standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record accounting entries for invoices, banks, payroll, depreciation, provisions and prepaid expenses.
• Maintain supporting documents and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Reconcile and validate balances of general ledger accounts, accounts payable, intercompany and financial integrations, including FCCS figures.
• Execute monthly closing activities for AP and GL modules, comparative balances, integrations and closing checklists.
• Prepare and distribute financial reports, closing annexes, fixed‑asset registers and required corporate information.
• Support internal and external audit requests and provide information related to your processes.
• Control and monitor fixed assets, provisions and prepaid expenses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting or Business Administration with an accounting emphasis.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Knowledge of tax legislation and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS/NIIF).
• At least 2 years of proven experience in a similar accounting role.
