Category Management Manager – Trade Marketing

About the role

The Category Management Manager will lead trade‑marketing activation across the customer base, ensuring promotional campaigns and point‑of‑sale (POS) materials are executed effectively to drive growth for the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Engage brand and category teams to define channel requirements and timelines.
• Develop and activate in‑store POS materials and support assets.
• Track, evaluate and report on promotional activity versus plan, providing insights for future strategies.
• Lead the trade‑marketing component of the category annual plan and contract process.
• Analyse market dynamics and consumer insights by channel to influence strategic decisions.
• Suggest and manage investment in category building blocks, ensuring execution excellence at POS.
• Monitor competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats.
• Provide leadership within multi‑category teams, delivering accurate channel information to uncover business opportunities such as innovations, promotions, pricing, and portfolio adjustments.

Required profile

• Experience in fast‑moving consumer goods, preferably with grocery customers.
• Project‑management experience in a supply‑chain or commercial context.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence stakeholders.
• Knowledge of category planning, growth strategies and business planning.
• Future‑focused mindset with curiosity about industry trends, digital solutions and consumer innovation.
