Buyer

About the role

We are looking for a Buyer to join our ATMOS Logistics Center in Lagunilla de Heredia. This permanent role works Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm, with occasional remote work based on business needs. The buyer ensures timely replenishment of direct and indirect materials and services required for production, supporting operational efficiency, sales targets and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase materials according to ERP signals.
• Monitor pending invoices by age and amount.
• Identify purchases that could impact production and communicate promptly.
• Maintain assigned performance indicators.
• Seek price improvements or mitigate supplier price increases.
• Recalculate purchasing parameters such as safety stock, reorder point and lead times.
• Participate in meetings with internal and external customers.
• Negotiate with local and international suppliers (English required).
• Inform and coordinate with internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• At least 80 % completion of a bachelor’s degree in Administration, Logistics, Commerce, Industrial Engineering, Customs or a related field.
• Minimum six months experience in a supply‑chain role.
• Proficiency in English.
• Preference for experience with ERP systems.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of supply‑chain processes.
• Ability to learn and apply manufacturing concepts.
• Willingness to acquire knowledge of medical‑device regulations and ensure compliance.
• Readiness for a four‑month training and continuous learning period.
