About the role
The Bilingual IT Support Technician provides on‑site technical assistance for hardware, software and network issues at Map Soluciones in San José. The role requires fluent communication in both Spanish and English.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair and install computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and applications.
- Configure workstations, manage user accounts, permissions and ensure system security.
- Document incidents, maintain IT asset inventory and collaborate on technical improvements.
Required profile
- Fluent written and spoken Spanish and English.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and work independently on‑site.
- Customer‑service orientation with patience for users of varying technical levels.
Required skills
- Computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Operating systems: Windows, macOS, Linux.
- Basic networking: TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi, routers, switches.
- Software installation, configuration, updates and basic cybersecurity (antivirus, backups, access controls).
- Basic knowledge of SAP.
