Backend Developer

About the role

Accenture is hiring a Backend Developer to design, develop, test and support the services and integrations behind its Agora applications and workflows. The role spans APIs, databases, messaging, enterprise integrations and cloud services to deliver reliable and supportable capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain back-end services, REST APIs, microservices and integration components.
• Implement business logic, data access, system integrations and event-driven processing.
• Investigate and resolve service defects, integration failures, data issues, performance problems and production incidents.
• Develop or maintain automated API, integration, regression and validation tests.
• Contribute to monitoring, logging, telemetry, deployment pipelines and operational diagnostics.
• Take part in code reviews, technical estimation, sprint planning, releases and stabilization.
• Collaborate with front-end, quality, architecture, product, operations and external-system teams.

Required profile

• 2+ years of relevant experience in back-end, API, integration or application development; strong hands-on delivery experience is valued more than a long tenure.
• Degree, diploma or equivalent post-secondary education in computer science, software engineering, information technology or a related technical field.
• Strong debugging skills across services, data, integrations, authentication and cloud environments.

Required skills

• REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems and enterprise integrations.
• Python, JavaScript/TypeScript or comparable back-end languages.
• Relational and/or NoSQL databases, messaging and event-driven processing.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure, plus CI/CD and release management.
• Cloud, API, database, DevOps or related technical certifications are beneficial but not required.
