AV Deployment Engineer – IT Services

About the role

Amazon's Corporate Infrastructure Services (CIS) is looking for an AV Deployment Engineer to configure and test audiovisual systems for new and existing deployments across Amazon corporate sites. The role blends remote scripting, onsite hardware setup, and collaboration with internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Configure audiovisual devices remotely using scripts and deployment tools.
• Install, tune, and test onsite equipment such as system control processors, audio DSPs, and videoconferencing codecs.
• Modify and enhance existing deployment scripts/automation for better performance.
• Develop new scripts or tooling and partner with other teams to publish them.
• Track project assignments, adjust schedules based on priorities, and plan travel for onsite deliveries.
• Communicate project status with Amazon AV delivery managers and external vendors.
• Troubleshoot and escalate system issues to AV design and engineering teams.
• Adapt to changing objectives in complex, ambiguous environments.

Required profile

• Strong background in AV engineering with experience in large‑scale hardware deployments.

• Problem‑solving mindset with ownership of project responsibilities.

Required skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals.
• Experience with Linux systems administration and/or development.
• Technical knowledge of AV systems, video‑conferencing equipment, audio DSPs, display technologies, and network infrastructure.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools.
