Application & Production Support Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Application & Production Support Engineer to join our team remotely. You will be responsible for supporting critical Credit Risk and Market Risk applications, ensuring smooth operation and rapid incident resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Provide application and production support for Credit Risk and Market Risk systems.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents and data‑related issues.
• Troubleshoot SQL queries, application errors, and system logs.
• Monitor Linux environments and analyse application logs.
• Develop scripts to automate repetitive support tasks.
• Participate in deployments and production releases.
• Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database, and business teams.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of IT experience, preferably in application or production support.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in Financial Services, Credit Risk or Market Risk is a plus.

Required skills

• SQL and database troubleshooting.
• Linux administration and log analysis.
• Python, PowerShell or Shell scripting.
• ServiceNow and ITIL process knowledge.
• Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with deployment or CI/CD pipelines (optional).
