Anthropology Quality Assurance Lead (Remote)

About the role

This remote, hourly contract position focuses on ensuring the quality and cultural accuracy of anthropology‑focused AI training data. You will lead quality assurance efforts, guide trainers, and help shape the standards that drive ethical and reliable AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated anthropology content and trainer outputs against detailed rubrics.
• Provide precise written feedback to maintain high standards of cultural sensitivity, methodological rigor, and ethical awareness.
• Identify recurring quality issues and communicate updates to trainers and QA teams.
• Support onboarding of new contributors and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Activate and manage contributors who are not consistently engaged.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Anthropology, Cultural Anthropology, Archaeology, Sociology, or a closely related field.
• Strong command of English for clear written communication.
• 3+ years of experience in anthropology research, teaching, ethnography, archaeology, museum work, or related fields.
• Deep understanding of anthropological theory, cultural relativism, ethnographic methods, and ethical representation.
• Ability to evaluate content against detailed rubrics and spot issues such as stereotyping, bias, or methodological errors.
