Americas Risk Supervisor

About the role

The Americas Risk Supervisor will lead the finance control framework across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, ensuring SOX compliance and robust internal controls. This role partners with internal teams, external auditors and testing vendors to maintain high‑quality assurance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage internal control framework tools to standardize, simplify and strengthen Haleon’s finance control environment.
• Own the end‑to‑end testing approach for manual business controls assurance, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Serve as the day‑to‑day contact for management and SOX testing vendors, aligning expectations, documentation standards, timelines and deliverables.
• Monitor vendor performance, conduct detailed quality assurance, and escalate concerns when necessary.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and third parties such as GEC, ABAC and SEC regarding the control framework.
• Prepare global training materials and communications for SOX testers, COE members and key personnel.
• Maintain the resource centre, help‑desk facilities and related tools with up‑to‑date information for internal customers.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing, quality and coverage through automation, analytics or refined scoping.
• Support business projects by assessing control impacts of upcoming changes and providing guidance for a robust post‑go‑live environment.
• Stay current on control framework developments and propose continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in SOX compliance, internal control frameworks and risk management.
• Strong ability to work with external auditors, testing vendors and cross‑functional finance teams.
• Excellent communication skills for preparing training materials and stakeholder updates.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and automation opportunities.
