Agile Remote Operator, GO-AI

About the role

Join Amazon Robotics as an Agile Remote Operator in the Global Operations – Artificial Intelligence (GO‑AI) team. You will work at the intersection of artificial intelligence and robotics, creating and refining data annotations, tele‑planning, and operational support that directly shape how Amazon’s robots learn and act.

Key responsibilities

• Perform multi‑modal data annotations (object segmentation, classification, description, detection) for AI model training.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate ambiguous technical requirements into clear annotation standards and SOPs.
• Conduct remote tele‑planning and tele‑operation activities to support robot development and testing.
• Define quality standards and KPIs for annotation projects where procedures are not yet established.
• Validate annotated data using troubleshooting techniques and validation scripts.
• Analyze the impact of ground‑truth data quality on AI model performance metrics such as accuracy, precision and false‑positive rates.
• Identify process gaps, propose improvements and implement proactive measures.
• Communicate status, challenges and recommendations through written reports and presentations.
• Travel to the United States 1‑2 times per year for short on‑site visits.

Required profile

• Strong judgment and adaptability to work on ambiguous, cutting‑edge projects.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical teams and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel internationally a few times per year.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Required skills

• Data annotation (image, video, text) and segmentation techniques.
• Remote tele‑planning and tele‑operation of robotic systems.
• Validation scripting and troubleshooting of annotated datasets.
• Understanding of AI model evaluation metrics (accuracy, precision, false‑positive rate).
