Senior Unclaimed Property Analyst

About the role

Sysco is seeking a Senior Unclaimed Property Analyst to act as the subject‑matter expert for its Unclaimed Property (UCP) program. The role leads execution, governance, and continuous improvement of all UCP activities while ensuring strict compliance with state laws.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end Unclaimed Property processes for assigned Sysco entities, including annual reporting, due‑diligence, state filings, payment processing and reconciliations.
• Monitor regulatory changes, communicate impacts, and update processes accordingly.
• Maintain the Unclaimed Property system, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.
• Review and approve monthly and quarterly account reconciliations prepared by Global Accounting.
• Research and resolve complex reconciliation differences and accounting discrepancies.
• Coordinate due‑diligence reporting, prepare and submit accurate state reports, and manage payment requests.
• Respond to state inquiries, compliance reviews, and audit requests.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in unclaimed property compliance and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of state unclaimed property laws, filing requirements and statutory deadlines.
• Experience collaborating with Global Accounting, Treasury, Internal Audit, Legal and Business Units.
• Ability to act as primary escalation point for complex issues and drive process improvements.
