Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Join Sumo Logic’s global SRE team to ensure the reliability and security of our planet‑scale observability platform. You will own the availability of core product features, drive operational excellence, and help developers ship faster.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously improve the lifecycle of microservices from design through production.
• Define, evolve, and manage Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
• Write automation and production‑ready code to reduce toil and enhance security.
• Scale systems sustainably using automation, IaC, and cloud‑native best practices.
• Facilitate blameless post‑mortems and lead incident response coordination globally.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to optimize microservice operations and resolve root causes.

Required profile

• 6+ years of industry experience in site reliability, cloud‑native development, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a technical discipline.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across the full technology stack.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced, iterative environments and adapt to new responsibilities.

Required skills

• AWS networking, compute, storage, and managed services.
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, Ansible.
• Programming in Java, Go, or Scala.
• Linux command‑line proficiency.
• Experience with streaming platforms like Kafka, Kafka Streams, or KSQL.
