Senior Looker BI Engineer

About the role

Proxify is seeking a Senior Looker BI Engineer for a high‑growth client. You will be the chief architect of the enterprise business intelligence platform, owning the entire Looker ecosystem and turning complex, multi‑source data into fast, intuitive analytics.

• Optimize slow‑loading dashboards using aggregate awareness, smart datagroups, and refined joins.
• Configure Looker instance settings, manage row‑ and column‑level security, and monitor performance via system activity models.
• Handle LookML version control: pull requests, code reviews, merge conflict resolution, and deployment across development and production branches.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to align warehouse models (BigQuery or Snowflake) with LookML views.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience building enterprise‑grade Looker environments.
• Deep understanding of LookML, caching strategies, liquid templating, user attributes, and persistent derived tables.
• Expert‑level SQL skills with performance tuning in Google BigQuery or Snowflake.
