Senior Accounting Manager (Remote)

About the role

Veta Virtual is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to support a key financial services client. This fully remote position blends deep U.S. accounting expertise with the agility needed in fast‑moving startup environments. You will own end‑to‑end accounting operations, ensure compliance with U.S. standards, and provide actionable financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for U.S.‑based clients, including reconciliations, month‑end close, and financial reporting.
• Serve as the primary accounting point of contact for client stakeholders, delivering clear communication and timely results.
• Apply startup accounting principles to balance best practices with limited resources and shifting priorities.
• Integrate and optimize external applications with QuickBooks Online to streamline workflows.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, expense management, and vendor/client interactions.
• Utilize tools such as QuickBooks Online, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, and Google Drive on a daily basis.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and AI use cases that can improve accounting efficiency.

Required profile

• 5+ years of accounting experience with U.S. companies; CPA preferred.
• Proven ability to manage external stakeholders, preferably from public accounting or client‑facing roles.
• Strong knowledge of startup accounting practices and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Full professional fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• Self‑starter with excellent time‑management, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
