Senior Accountant – Implementation (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to lead implementation projects for new clients. This fully remote position combines client‑facing responsibilities with hands‑on configuration of cloud‑based accounting systems.

Key responsibilities

• Convert client accounting and payroll systems to cloud‑based platforms.
• Reconcile client books and ensure accuracy during the implementation phase.
• Implement and integrate peripheral software such as Bill.com, Expensify, and Fathom.
• Prepare month‑end close work and financial statements for new clients.
• Document procedures and policies to facilitate smooth hand‑over to the recurring accounting team.
• Evaluate and streamline processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Mentor Staff Accountants and junior team members.

Required profile

• Ownership mindset with the ability to take initiative and see issues through to resolution.
• Fluent professional English communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience; CPA preferred.
• Public accounting or audit experience highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and capacity to manage multiple projects with deadlines.
• Adaptable, agile, and comfortable in a fast‑changing environment.
• Excellent client‑facing and collaborative attitude.
