Operations Manager, Work Authorization

About the role

Amazon's Talent Solutions organization is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the Work Authorization (WA) Operations team. This senior leader will own the global delivery of work‑authorization compliance services, partnering closely with Legal, Risk & Compliance, Immigration, Technology and Product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Set vision, strategy and multi‑year roadmap for WA Operations worldwide.
• Represent WA Operations in meetings with cross‑functional stakeholders and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Lead and develop manager‑level direct reports, fostering a culture of psychological safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee operational execution, team capability and delivery systems to achieve compliant, high‑quality outcomes at scale.
• Partner daily with Regional HR Managers to align program design and regional compliance strategy.
• Manage org health metrics such as engagement, attrition, capacity planning and workload equity.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading HR or operations teams in a complex, global environment.
• Deep understanding of work‑authorization compliance, immigration regulations and related risk management.
• Strong people‑management skills with a track record of developing managers and building succession pipelines.
• Ability to set strategic direction, define success metrics and drive execution across multiple regions.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to partner with legal, risk, technology and product stakeholders.
