Network Engineer – Remote (Costa Rica)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team remotely from Costa Rica on a 6‑month contract. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity and robust security across all environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage LAN/WAN connectivity, remote access solutions, firewalls, load balancers and overall network security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and connectivity issues.
• Plan, execute and document network upgrades, patches and security enhancements.
• Assist in network architecture design, monitoring and optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• CCNA, CCNP or comparable networking certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in networking or infrastructure support.

Required skills

• LAN/WAN, VPN, BGP, VLAN, routing, SSL/TLS, TCP/IP.
• DNS, DHCP, SNMP.
• Cisco networking equipment and load balancing technologies.
• Wireshark, SolarWinds, Splunk.
• Basic knowledge of VMware, Windows Server, SQL Server and PowerShell.
