Junior Buyer – Procurement Operations

About the role

Huntsman is looking for a Junior Buyer to support Procurement Operations within its Global Business Services hub in Costa Rica. Reporting to the Direct Procurement Team Lead, you will help ensure the smooth execution of the purchase‑to‑pay cycle and support logistics and operational activities across multiple manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the purchase‑to‑pay process, ensuring order accuracy, creating purchase orders and handling invoice disputes.
• Coordinate logistic and operational activities, including order confirmations, to meet company targets.
• Maintain purchasing data such as pricing, supplier information and order profiles.
• Act as the daily operational liaison between purchasing, manufacturing sites and administrative departments.
• Identify and propose process‑improvement opportunities to drive automation and efficiency.
• Provide status updates on purchased goods and services to internal stakeholders.
• Monitor compliance with environmental, health and security standards.

Required profile

• Unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proficiency in English at B2 level.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Understanding of the purchasing process.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
