Inventory Senior Accountant

About the role

The Inventory Senior Accountant will support financial reporting and analysis for inventory and manufacturing functions. You will ensure accurate accounting records, compliance with US GAAP/IFRS, and timely delivery of financial information to internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the global obsolete and slow‑moving inventory reserves calculation.
• Manage month‑end close activities, including P&L reviews and statutory analytical reviews.
• Prepare balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial schedules.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and SOX internal‑control documentation.
• Support internal and external audits, including issue remediation.
• Engage with customers and business partners on complex financial deliverables.
• Perform trend analysis, cost‑of‑sales reviews, and inventory destruction reporting.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects and special initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of functional accounting or finance experience, preferably in a multinational or shared‑services environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and local accounting standards across regions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP (including S/4HANA) and JDE.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Query or similar data‑analysis tools.
• Understanding of SOX internal‑control requirements.
