About the role

Cargill is seeking a Project Engineer to join its Food division, supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects that enable safe, responsible, and sustainable food production. The role focuses on ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, safety, and regulatory requirements while delivering high‑quality results.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the strategic vision for project teams and embed best‑practice project management standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional professionals to plan, schedule, and monitor project progress.
• Execute projects using a defined management framework to achieve scope, cost, and timeline goals.
• Proactively track key metrics, mitigate risks, and improve project performance.
• Work with business stakeholders to ensure project outcomes deliver measurable business value.
• Independently resolve medium‑complexity issues and escalate higher‑complexity challenges as needed.
• Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements throughout construction activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; 5 years preferred in food‑industry projects or maintenance.
• Conversational written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Experience using Microsoft Project or other scheduling tools.
• Knowledge of SAP for project data management.
