About the role

Serena Care is seeking a full‑time Experto en cuido to provide direct, compassionate care to individuals in their homes or care settings in San José. The role focuses on personal assistance, emotional support, and maintaining a safe, respectful environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care activities and daily living tasks.
• Support clients’ physical and emotional needs according to individualized care plans.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and supervisors.
• Document activities, observations, and any changes in client condition.
• Promote a clean, organized, and safe environment, including light household tasks.
• Collaborate with other care professionals as needed.

Required profile

• Demonstrated skills in personal care, mobility support, and daily living assistance.
• Experience providing emotional support, companionship, and respectful communication.
• Strong observation and reporting abilities to identify changes in client condition.
• Reliability, patience, empathy, and a client‑centered approach.
• Legal authorization to work in the country and flexibility for on‑site scheduling.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices, including infection control and emergency response procedures.
