Business Manager – Fluid & Motion Control

About the role

Emerson is seeking a Business Manager for Fluid & Motion Control to lead its Application & Customer Service team. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality support, expanding discrete automation opportunities, and aligning customer needs with technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Application & Customer Service team to ensure excellent support and solutions.
• Develop and execute strategies to grow the discrete automation business.
• Collaborate with engineering and product management to match customer requirements with technical offerings.
• Oversee customer service processes, guaranteeing timely issue resolution.
• Drive continuous improvement in application engineering and customer support.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Prepare and present performance reports to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in automation, engineering or customer‑service leadership.
• Proven ability to manage cross‑functional teams and drive business growth.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
