Business Development Manager – GBS America

About the role

The Business Development Manager for GBS America will lead stakeholder engagement across divisions and functions, identifying and qualifying new collaboration opportunities that expand Global Business Services capabilities. You will act as a trusted advisor, turning ideas into scalable initiatives that deliver measurable value.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and map strategic stakeholders across global, regional and local levels.
• Manage the end‑to‑end stakeholder lifecycle from outreach to operational hand‑over.
• Proactively discover new GBS opportunities through internal outreach and inbound demand.
• Maintain and prioritize an opportunity pipeline to focus on high‑impact initiatives.
• Develop tailored proposals, market research, business cases and introduction decks.
• Provide strategic guidance on GBS capabilities, co‑creating roadmaps and solution blueprints.
• Lead RfP development, prepare comprehensive responses and present pitches.
• Design and maintain GBS value‑proposition materials for internal and external audiences.
• Monitor market trends, identify innovation opportunities and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Represent GBS at forums, conferences and stakeholder events.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in complex business environments, providing strategic support or leading project‑management initiatives.
• Background in business consulting (strategy/operations) is a plus.
• Strong business acumen and ability to structure problems, build business cases and deliver executive‑ready recommendations.
• Proficiency in Business English (written and spoken) is required.
• Strategic thinker with strong market awareness and the ability to synthesize insights.
