Accounting Analyst

About the role

The Accounting Analyst will own end‑to‑end Record‑to‑Report (R2R) activities, ensuring accurate month‑end close and financial integrity. You will support system implementations and new business launches, combining strong accounting expertise with UAT participation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end close tasks: journal entries, sub‑ledger close, reconciliations, balance‑sheet analysis, amortizations, depreciations and financial reporting.
• Perform P&L and balance‑sheet variance analysis, identify root causes and communicate findings.
• Lead accounting workstreams for financial system implementations and new business launches, coordinating UAT, testing, documentation and production readiness.
• Review accounting records, Chart of Accounts configurations and journal entry flows to ensure accuracy.
• Apply accounting principles, internal controls (ICFR) and controllership standards, identifying risks and driving corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation and knowledge‑sharing materials.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations and Technology teams to resolve testing and operational issues.
• Identify automation opportunities, leverage AI tools where appropriate, and support continuous process improvement.
• Track project timelines, deliverables and risks, providing progress updates to leadership.
• Support GRC compliance activities and risk control assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or currently pursuing).
• 2+ years of transactional accounting or R2R experience, including month‑end close and reconciliations.
• Strong accounting knowledge with ability to work independently and propose solutions.
• Experience reviewing accounting records and Chart of Accounts before system go‑live.
• Intermediate to advanced English (written and spoken).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with financial system implementations, UAT planning and production readiness is highly preferred.
