Credit Analyst I – Order to Cash

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Credit Analyst I to join its Order to Cash team. The role focuses on managing credit exposure, collections, and financial risk for corporate client accounts while supporting the company’s mission to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of medium‑ to high‑complexity customer accounts, ensuring compliance with payment terms and credit limits using ERP, Order Release Portal, and Cforia/GetPaid.
• Perform credit risk assessments for new and existing customers and recommend appropriate credit limits, payment terms and risk classifications.
• Monitor unapplied and unidentified payments, analyse financial statements and recommend credit limit adjustments.
• Oversee the Credit Hold process, release orders based on analysis, and establish credit terms for new customers.
• Negotiate payment plans and collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Cash Application and other stakeholders to resolve credit, collection and billing issues.
• Investigate and resolve credit notes, debit notes, deductions, unapplied cash and billing discrepancies.
• Ensure invoices are delivered via portals or email and support web‑based billing processes.
• Prepare account statements, reports and analyses; provide updates or escalations to leadership.
• Identify uncollectible accounts and recommend escalation to third‑party collections or Legal.
• Support onboarding and training of new employees and maintain SOPs and job aids.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related field preferred.
• Minimum 4 + years experience in Credit & Collections, Accounts Receivable or Order‑to‑Cash.
• Experience in a Shared Services environment.
• English proficiency at B2+ level or higher.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with at least one ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Experience using Cforia and/or GetPaid.
• Experience developing reports and performing data analysis.
