About the role
Amex GBT is looking for a seasoned Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join its remote team. You will combine deep development experience with security expertise to protect and evolve the company’s cloud‑native infrastructure in the corporate travel sector.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with integrated security testing.
- Automate security scanning (SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning) and ensure consistent reporting.
- Deploy, configure and support API security tools and ensure they feed into central aggregators.
- Collaborate with development teams to promote secure coding practices and provide guidance throughout the software lifecycle.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards such as PCI‑DSS, GDPR and SOC 2.
- Mentor junior engineers and champion a security‑first culture across engineering.
Required profile
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with at least one major language (Python, Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript).
- 3+ years of hands‑on DevSecOps or security engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of OWASP, API security and cloud security (AWS, Azure or GCP).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
