Operations Analyst – Software Asset Management

About the role

WNS is seeking an Operations Analyst to manage and optimise its enterprise Software Asset Management (SAM) platforms. The role focuses on administering Flexera and ServiceNow SAM Pro, ensuring licence compliance, and supporting the broader IT operations ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and support Flexera and ServiceNow SAM Pro platforms.
• Configure and troubleshoot integrations with SCCM/MECM, JAMF, Active Directory, cloud platforms and other inventory sources.
• Manage the software asset lifecycle: discovery, normalisation, reconciliation, entitlement management and optimisation.
• Develop and maintain compliance dashboards, operational reports and executive‑level asset management reporting using Flexera, ServiceNow, SQL Server and Power BI.
• Support licence harvesting, reclamation and optimisation initiatives, including recovery of licences from terminated or inactive users.
• Serve as primary technical support for Flexera and ServiceNow SAM Pro, coordinating issue resolution with vendor support teams.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in systems administration, software asset management or infrastructure support.
• Minimum 2 years hands‑on administration of Flexera and/or ServiceNow SAM Pro.
• Demonstrated experience with software licence compliance, entitlement management and asset optimisation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexera and/or ServiceNow SAM Pro certifications are a plus.
