Mechanic Specialist

About the role

Crowley is seeking a Mechanic Specialist to lead preventive and corrective maintenance on its equipment fleet, including containers, chassis, and power equipment. The role involves supervising complex tasks, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting operations across logistics and shipping services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspections and repairs on all container components (dry, reefer, gensets, vans).
• Inspect and replace chassis parts such as tires, brakes, lights, landing gear, and structural members.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of power equipment including forklifts, top loaders, power packs, and yard trucks.
• Manage fit‑up, preparation, repair, parts requests, and welding activities.
• Supervise and coordinate maintenance tasks to ensure timely completion.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary coursework or a technician diploma in mechanics, electricity, or welding preferred.
• Minimum five years of proven experience as a welder and mechanic or in a similar role.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Availability to work irregular hours, holidays and weekends as needed.
• Valid driver’s license for heavy equipment.
