Inventory Control Engineer

About the role

Prysmian is seeking an Inventory Control Engineer to join its Documenting and Reporting Inventory Control Indicators team in Heredia, Costa Rica. You will ensure optimal inventory levels, support production needs, and provide accurate reporting to drive efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Establish guidelines to optimise inventory control procedures.
• Inspect plant supplies and raw‑material levels to identify stock‑outs.
• Ensure inventory stock meets production demand.
• Record daily deliveries and departures, reconciling inventory data.
• Cross‑reference orders and replenish stock to avoid shortages or excess.
• Analyse data to forecast future needs and prepare follow‑up reports.
• Conduct weekly scrap analysis and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Document and report inventory control metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, chemical, production, logistics engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of demonstrable experience in inventory management, supervision and control within a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Strong analytical thinking, detail orientation, planning and organisational skills.
• Results‑oriented with assertive communication and teamwork abilities.

• Power BI.
• SAP and/or AS400 systems.
• Accounting knowledge.
