Facilities Engineer II

About the role

CooperSurgical is seeking a Facilities Engineer II to lead the reliability and performance of its building systems. The role focuses on continuous improvement, preventive maintenance, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure a safe and efficient environment for employees and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Review facilities and building systems for capacity, reliability, and compliance.
• Lead system upgrade and improvement projects, including validation requirements.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Supervise technicians, assign tasks, and provide training to achieve reliability goals.
• Manage contractor relationships for facilities, EHS, construction, equipment, security, and housekeeping.
• Participate in budgeting, monitor spending, and ensure cost‑effective maintenance.
• Support electronic Maintenance System and Building Management System operations.
• Investigate and resolve building complaints, chronic issues, and environmental conditions.
• Analyze energy, water, and HVAC consumption for efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong background in facilities or building systems engineering.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams to solve quality and operational issues.
• Ability to manage multiple contractors and coordinate external resources.
• Proactive problem‑solving mindset with hands‑on technical approach.
