Data Architect – Remote (LATAM)

About the role

As a Data Architect at Nortal, you will design and evolve scalable data platforms that support data‑driven solutions across multiple business domains. The role blends strategic architecture ownership with hands‑on solution design, ensuring reliability, governance, and security of data systems.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve data architecture standards and best practices.
• Design and implement Data Lake and Data Warehouse/Lakehouse solutions.
• Architect ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and consumption.
• Create data models aligned with analytics and business requirements.
• Ensure data governance, quality, and security across platforms.
• Define integration patterns between microservices and data systems.
• Provide architectural guidance and solution design support to delivery teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing large‑scale data platforms.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and quality principles.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote, multicultural team.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration.
