AV Deployment Engineer

About the role

Amazon IT Services is looking for an AV Deployment Engineer to configure and test audiovisual systems for new and existing corporate sites worldwide. The role blends remote scripting, onsite hardware tuning, and travel to deliver high‑quality AV deployments in a fast‑changing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Configure audiovisual devices remotely using scripts and deployment tools.
• Onsite installation, tuning, and testing of System Control Processors, Audio DSPs, videoconferencing codecs, and related equipment.
• Modify and enhance existing deployment scripts/automation for better performance.
• Develop new scripts or tooling to automate tasks and collaborate with partner teams for publishing.
• Track project assignments, adjust schedules based on priorities, and plan travel for onsite deliveries.
• Communicate status updates to Amazon AV project delivery managers.
• Troubleshoot and escalate system issues to AV design and engineering teams.
• Coordinate with external AV integrators and vendors.

Required profile

• Strong background in AV engineering and large‑scale hardware deployments.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous, high‑pressure situations and adapt to rapid project changes.
• Clear, concise communication skills and a bias for action.
• Proactive problem‑solving mindset with ownership of project responsibilities.

Required skills

• AV systems knowledge (video conferencing equipment, sound systems, display technologies).
• Experience with System Control Processors and Audio Digital Signal Processors (DSPs).
• Linux systems administration.
• Networking fundamentals.
• Scripting and automation tools for device configuration.
