Android Engineer – Mobile Application Development

About the role

As an Android Engineer you will design, develop, and maintain high‑quality Android applications that serve millions of users worldwide. You will work across the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through production, testing, and release.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of Android projects, including design, implementation, testing, deployment and production support.
• Participate in all phases of the application lifecycle: requirements, system design, development, integration and maintenance.
• Write clean, maintainable code following coding standards and best practices, and conduct formal code reviews.
• Design and document API contracts in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Create scalable, extensible architectures that accommodate future growth.
• Contribute to shared engineering initiatives such as CI/CD pipelines, build systems, code‑review tooling and monitoring infrastructure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong understanding of the Android framework and modern architectural patterns (MVVM).
• Proficiency in Kotlin for new development and working knowledge of Java.
• Experience with Jetpack components, including Compose, Navigation and UI transitions.
• Hands‑on experience consuming RESTful APIs, including API mocking and unit testing.
• Familiarity with third‑party libraries such as RxJava, Dagger and Retrofit.
• Experience with offline storage, background processing, threading, performance optimisation and large‑scale codebases.
