Vice President of Engineering

About the role

The Vice President of Engineering leads the International Division’s engineering function, overseeing strategic planning, product design, quality assurance, and project management for medical device products.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the research and development vision, driving innovative product concepts and technology solutions.
• Provide technical and strategic direction to R&D, innovation, and engineering teams, and manage external customer interfaces.
• Lead hiring, development, and motivation of the innovation group, fostering a culture of trust and high‑integrity leadership.
• Oversee budgetary and performance controls, intellectual property strategy, and compliance with quality standards such as ISO 13485.
• Identify process improvements, champion agile product development, and ensure successful product launches.

Required profile

• Minimum of eight years of engineering or maintenance experience, preferably in the medical device industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to drive accountability and celebrate successes.
• Proven ability to solve complex strategic problems using data‑driven decision making.
• Experience in customer‑facing technology leadership and business development activities.
