Transportation Coordinator

About the role

The Transportation Coordinator will manage inbound drayage and outbound transportation activities for both package and bulk shipments. Working closely with internal teams, carriers, customs brokers and third‑party providers, the role ensures shipments move on schedule, documentation is accurate, and visibility is maintained across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for inbound drayage and outbound transportation inquiries from Customer Service, Sales, Finance and Inventory Management.
• Maintain relationships with drayage providers, customs brokers, vendors and third‑party partners to support receiving, delivery, documentation follow‑up and shipment visibility.
• Troubleshoot transportation issues such as terminal appointments, damaged containers, empty returns, delays and other exceptions.
• Follow up on import documentation, including Importer Security Filings, Bills of Lading and vendor import documents.
• Audit, validate and approve drayage invoices against agreed rates and services.
• Update and monitor shipping and ETA data in SAP F&O for various freight modes.
• Prepare weekly warehouse arrival reports and monthly drayage schedules for planning and operational visibility.
• Benchmark drayage rates, share market updates and support Quarterly Business Reviews with providers.
• Develop and monitor inbound transportation KPIs to drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate shipment records.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP Finance & Operations (F&O) or similar ERP system.
