Test Technician – Electronics Testing & Maintenance

About the role

Teradyne is seeking a Test Technician to perform advanced testing, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance on low to medium‑complexity electronic products and systems. The role supports engineering initiatives while maintaining production goals and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic testing, maintenance, and repair of electronic assemblies.
• Execute technical assignments, product updates, and preventive‑maintenance procedures.
• Resolve complex technical issues and support problem‑solving activities.
• Perform failure inspections, root‑cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Interpret technical documentation, specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to collect data and drive continuous‑improvement projects.
• Escalate issues with clear findings, supporting information, and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, test results, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and electrostatic discharge (ESD) handling requirements.
• Support final visual inspection (FVI) by preparing products and executing inspection steps.

Required profile

• Broad technical knowledge of electronic products and systems.
• Strong judgment and ability to work under production pressure.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Effective collaboration and communication with cross‑functional teams.
