About the role

Medtronic is seeking an entry‑level Maintenance Technician I to support its manufacturing plant. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing production equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on line manufacturing and plant equipment.
• Locate and diagnose equipment failures, replace defective components, and conduct basic troubleshooting using schematics, diagrams, and manuals.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair logs.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and test equipment to complete tasks.
• Assist in redesigning optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for existing equipment.
• Estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions when required.

Required profile

• Technical background in electromechanical, mechatronics, or industrial electronics.
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Minimum education: ninth grade; technical training in electrical, mechanical, or electronic fields preferred.
• Basic English proficiency.
• Familiarity with the medical device industry is a plus.
• Two years of relevant experience preferred, though entry‑level candidates may be considered.
