Team Lead – Data Operations

About the role

Moody's is looking for a proactive Team Lead to oversee Data Operations within its financial services division in Heredia, Costa Rica. You will guide a high‑performing team, ensure operational excellence, and help embed AI‑driven efficiencies into daily processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of data specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Drive operational effectiveness across financial data workflows, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable initiatives.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising critical issues and delivering results with minimal supervision.
• Support the integration of AI tools to streamline processes and enhance decision‑making.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in financial services or financial data/process management.
• Proven supervisory or management experience with a track record of building high‑performance teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to dissect complex problems and achieve consensus across departments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting to senior audiences.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to work flexibly beyond standard hours when needed.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and a curiosity for applying AI to improve processes.
