Tableau Consultant (Contract)

About the role

Insight Global is seeking a Tableau Consultant on a contract basis to help clients transform raw data into actionable visual insights. You will work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to assess data structures, improve reporting processes, and deliver scalable analytics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize Tableau dashboards and reports for diverse business needs.
• Evaluate data sources, structures, and pipelines to ensure reporting efficiency.
• Recommend best practices for visualization, data modeling, and performance tuning.
• Gather requirements and translate business questions into technical specifications.
• Prepare and transform data using SQL, Tableau Prep, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with IT to create data tables and streamline reporting workflows.
• Improve dashboard performance and user experience based on usage analysis.

Required profile

• Strong Tableau experience (Desktop, Server/Cloud, LOD expressions, data blending).
• Solid SQL skills for querying relational databases.
• Understanding of data modeling concepts (schemas, fact/dimension tables, normalization).
• Ability to translate business questions into actionable analytics.
• Experience working with various data sources, including Excel.
• Consulting mindset with thought‑leadership capabilities.
