Systems Engineer II – Endpoint Security & UEM

About the role

Join Akamai’s Enterprise Client Engineering team as a Systems Engineer II. You will design, implement, and manage endpoint security solutions across Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu environments, helping to protect client systems while improving productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, install, patch, and manage security tools on client endpoints.
• Administer EDR, DLP, and browser security solutions, including CrowdStrike and Proofpoint.
• Use KACE, Tanium, Workspace One, JAMF, SCCM, Intune, and related UEM platforms to manage devices.
• Develop and maintain custom scripts in PowerShell, Python, and BASH for software deployment.
• Enforce zero‑trust policies through Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Endpoint Privileged Management (EPM).
• Manage and troubleshoot virtual machines running Windows and Ubuntu.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in engineering, administration, or UEM systems.
• 23 years of experience working with EDR and DLP platforms such as CrowdStrike or Proofpoint.
• Strong documentation skills for SOPs, architectural guides, and support materials.
• Hands‑on expertise with Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu operating systems.
• Experience scripting and packaging for multiple OS platforms.
