System Reliability Engineer

About the role

Veeam is looking for a System Reliability Engineer (Site Reliability Engineer) to ensure the continuous, reliable operation of its services. You will work on proactive monitoring, incident response, and building resilient observability across our cloud and on‑premise infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain monitoring and guarantee uninterrupted operation of company services.
• Write and maintain alerting rules, runbooks, and escalation chains.
• Perform triage, initial diagnosis, and technical resolution of incidents.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and conduct post‑incident reviews (RCA/post‑mortems).
• Continuously improve observability coverage and reduce false‑positive alerts.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to identify reliability risks and implement preventive measures.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with observability tools such as Grafana, ELK, and VictoriaMetrics.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes (k8s) environments.
• Experience operating in AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Ability to analyse incidents, identify root causes, and propose remediation steps.
