Staff Accountant

About the role

Veta Virtual is seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to join the finance team of a fast‑growing fintech and cryptocurrency client. The role focuses on digital‑asset accounting, monthly close processes, and financial reporting for a global crypto kiosk network.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly roll‑forwards for BTC, ETH, LTC and other supported digital assets.
• Reconcile wallet balances to blockchain data and internal sub‑ledgers, handling data cleanup and exception resolution.
• Perform fair market value calculations and remeasurements for digital‑asset holdings.
• Process and account for crypto donations, rewards, incentives and hardware‑wallet activity.
• Prepare and post journal entries for month‑end close, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, depreciation schedules and assist with audit support packages.
• Develop spreadsheet reports, verify financial information and contribute to process improvements.
• Analyze accounting policies, recommend improvements and support cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 1 year of accounting experience with journal entries, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Working knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general financial accounting principles.
