Staff Accountant / Cost Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Staff Accountant / Cost Accountant to manage financial records, support cost‑efficient operations, and collaborate with procurement and compliance teams at our sporting goods manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities

• Perform month‑end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Analyze finished goods and work‑in‑progress inventory.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the cost accounting system and related documentation.
• Support the preparation of the annual manufacturing budget and standard costs.
• Cost new products and ensure costing accuracy.
• Explain and analyze manufacturing variances (labor, material, purchase price).
• Provide analysis for the FP&A team and support understanding of balance fluctuations.
• Assist year‑end audit processes and liaise with auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting, audit, or private‑company accounting.
• Solid background in cost systems and familiarity with customs compliance related to costing.
• General understanding of US GAAP.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
• Team‑oriented attitude, positive mindset and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and ability to travel to the USA (valid visa).
